This is hopefully the first and last time anybody will say I "saved the day" by running 10+ minute miles.
After no sleep, 6.5 miles of gut-wrenching side aches and a gimping knee, the rain delay saved me. Dave was able to skip his 8.4 mile run and jump to the next transition. Thayer saved the day and took my last leg.
